(1/7/2022) At 00:14 AM on Friday, the HBFD was dispatched to a multi-boat and camper fire off of Foster Avenue. Upon arrival, Chief James Kappers confirmed that two large boats and a camper were fully involved. The firefighting crews of 7-5-2, 7-5-4 and 7-5-7 worked diligently to put out the multiple fires with limited mobility due to the close proximity of the boats. Special thanks to EQFD for standing by and covering the district and HBVAC for rehabbing our firefighters throughout the operation. Post observation debriefing was held at Station 1. Investigation was turned over to the Southampton Town Fire Marshals.
