HBFD responds to Residential Structure Fire

9/30/2021 at 2:09PM the HBFD was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Bittersweet Avenue, descibed as black smoke from a residence. Incident command was established by first arriving Chief 7-5-30, who reported heavy smoke conditions . The fire was broight under control in approximatley 20 minutes. Responding units consisted of All Chiefs, 38 Firefighters manning Two Engines, 1 Tower Ladder, Two Fire Police Trucks and a Safety Officer. East Quogue FD responded with an engine and an ambulance for Rapid Intervention. Southampton FD responded with an engine to standby for stand-by at HBFD HQ's and responded to assit with the Medi-Vac Landing Zone. Hampton Bays Vol. AMbulance responded for 2 victims and setup Firefighter rehab. They were assisted at the scene by Flanders-Northampton VAC and Suffolk County PD Aviation. All units cleared the scene by 3:30 pm and was turned over tot he Southampton Town Fire Marshals.
