LEGAL NOTICE
WHEREAS on this 17th day of September 2025 , pursuant to Section 105 of the New York State Town Law and Section 181 of the New York State Town Law, the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Hampton Bays Fire District, on motions as hereinafter set forth, confirmed that that Annual Fire District Budget Hearing will be conducted with reference to the Annual Fire District Budget for the fiscal year 2026 on October 22, 2025 commencing at 7:30pm at the Hampton Bays Fire Department Headquarters located at 69 West Montauk Highway Hampton Bays New York, and
WHEREAS the Board of Fire Commissioners is required to adopt a proposed budget at least 21 days before October 22, 2025 so that it is available for public inspection prior to the public hearing.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Fire Commissioners has adopted a proposed Annual Fire District Budget for 2026 as of this date for purposes of discussion and review at the Budget Hearing to be held on October 22, 2025 as hereinbefore established and scheduled and that a copy of the proposed budget is available at the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Southampton and at the Office of the Hampton Bays Fire District Secretary at 69 West Montauk Hwy., Hampton Bays, New York where it may be inspected by any interested person during office hours. In addition, a copy of the proposed budget will be available the night of the public hearing.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Hampton Bays Fire District will hold the Annual Fire District Budget Hearing to be conducted as aforesaid with reference to the proposed Annual Fire District Budget for fiscal year 2026 on Wednesday October 22, 2025 commencing at 7:30 pm at the Hampton Bays Fire Department Headquarters located at 69 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays New York, and further
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the aforesaid budget will be presented to the residents and taxpayers of the Hampton Bays Fire District and to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Hampton Bays Fire District for their respective consideration at this public hearing and for the purpose of considering the said budget and hearing all persons interested in the subject concerning same on Wednesday October 22, 2025 commencing at 7:30 pm at the Hampton Bays Fire Department Headquarters located at 69 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays New York, and further
NOW ON MOTIONS ,as unanimously approved, as first made by Chairman Richard Durand, and seconded by Commissioner Robert King, to approve the proposed Hampton Bays Fire District Annual Fire District Budget for fiscal year 2026, and the second motion made by Commissioner King and seconded by Commissioner Durand to post notice of the adoption of the resolution to schedule and hold the public hearing on the proposed budget on October 22, 2025 at 7:30 pm at Hampton Bays Fire Department Headquarters 69 West Montauk Highway Hampton Bays New York , and to establish by resolution the procedures for conducting said hearing, the proposed budget was approved and the hearing scheduled.
The vote of the Commissioners comprising the BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS of the HAMPTON BAYS FIRE DISTRICT as then present at a publicly noticed and duly convened public meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners was as follows:
