Working Structure Fire

Hampton Bays Fire Department was dispatched at 1542 hours on April 1, 2022 for a reported structure fire at 317 East Montauk Hwy. Upon arrival, Chief James Kappers, reported heavy fire condition in a two story residence. The following apparatus responded from HBFD: Chief & 3 Assistant Chiefs, 1 Aerial Tower Truck, 3 Pumpers, 1 Rescue Truck, 2 Fire Police Units along with additional support units throughout the incident.
The fire was brought under control in about one hour. One firefighter suffer a minor laceration and was treated at the scene. All units cleared the scene at 2101 hours and the scene was turned over to the Southampton Town Fire Marshals Office.

 
Mutual Aid: Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance Corp. responded with a Rehab Unit and a rig on standby, Southampton Fire Department responded with 1 Pumper, 1 Rapid Intervention Team with and additional Pumper, 1 Fire Police Unit, Flanders Fire Department responded with a Pumper to standby at Hampton Bays' Main House.
